The enchanting presence of humpback whales on the Ningaloo Reef starts in June, as their annual migration to warmer Northern waters commences. This visually stunning spectacle reaches its peak around July and August, with a staggering 40,000 whales migrating up the Western Australian coast each year.
Our Humpback Whale (Then Whaleshark!) Wonder Tours commence on August 1st, and continues until at least the 30th September.
Booking earlier in our season reduces the likelihood of encountering a humpback whale pod with an undersized calf, so increases the number of suitable pods we can attempt an in-water interaction with.
