The Exmouth Navy Pier is currently viewed as one of the top shore dives in the world, and regarded as one of the top 10 dives in the world.
Exmouth’s Best Dive Site?
There’s no denying that the Navy pier is a truly stunning dive site, an experience that you do NOT want to miss whilst visiting Exmouth.
The Exmouth Navy Pier is a fully operational military facility. Due to it being closed to public access for some 50 years, the lack of fishing & human visitors has resulted in an aggregation of marine life under the Pier – a spectacle that needs to be seen to be believed!
Mother Nature’s Aquarium is one way of describing the density and diversity of the life on display: grey nurse sharks (in season), giant turtles, large groupers, schooling barracuda, nudibranchs, wobbegongs, lionfish, shovel rays, sleeping reef sharks, and so much more await your visit. Be sure to introduce yourself to the resident 2m-long Queensland grouper who keeps watch on all divers, locally know as the BFG – Big Friendly Grouper!
